It came to our attention On 20th May 2020, we announced that due to an unforeseen technical issue on the CDS API service, ERA5.1 data from the "oper" stream only could be retrieved, regardless of the value of the stream key in the API script. In other words, by default, the stream key was set to "oper" and any other stream key values were ignored. This means that if, for example, you requested ERA5.1 Ensemble monthly mean data, the data retrieved is not ensemble monthly mean data but data from the hourly (oper) stream.
We believe to have now fixed the problem but are doing and carried out substantial tests to check that ERA5.1 data from all available streams can indeed be retrieved as expected.
Unfortunately this means that if you retrieved ERA5.1 anytime before 20/05/2020 08:00am UTC on the following streams, you will need to request for the data again:
wave, enda, edmo, ewmo, edmm, ewmm, ewda, moda, wamd, mnth, wamo
Note that request for ERA5.1 submitted before 20/05/2020 08:00am UTC but currently waiting in the CDS queue do not need to be cancelledWe will update this announcement when ERA5.1 data requests using the CDS API service may resume.
