Currently, I'm working on assessing water resource using Budyko framework, thus, I download the potential evaporation, evaporation and precipitation from ERA5 monthly averaged data. While there are negative values apper in potential evaporation and evporation. I'm aware that the negative value stands for evaporation while the positive value stands for condensation from the description of evaporation, does it mean the negative value of potential evaporation stand for evaporation as well? Cuz there is no relative info or description of potential evaporation.
