We want to offer all attendees the opportunity to participate in practical exercises to become more familiar with using the OpenIFS model and its OpenIFS/AC extension.

In order to access your traininglab instance on the European Weather Clound please follow these instructions:

• In your email you will find an attached file traininglabXY-creds.zip with login credentials for your own traininglab instance. The number XY is unique to you. This virtual machine will remain active during the user meeting and is your personal workspace for the computer practicals.
• Open the zip archive and open the README.pdf file for information how to access the traininglab instance, described in section "How to connect with Jupyter lab".
• You will need to open a web browser on your laptop and go to the following address (XY being  your number): https://traininglabXY.ecmwf.europeanweather.cloud/
• You will need your personal login details that are shown in the PDF file. Please treat these as confidential.

Once you have logged on you will see the Jupyter lab window with file/directory explorer on the left side.

Therein you will find a folder called oifs-notebooks. 

Double-click on this folder and you will see a Jupyter Notebook file called Instructions.ipynb. 

Double-click on this file to open it and read further instructions.
