The NZMS model has been upgraded to a new version with the resolution changed to 0.1 degrees and the lead time length increased to +180 hours  as per Model upgrades#NZMS

2022

 The access details to the FTP with actual monthly match-up (collocation) data of observations and forecasts as well as the original raw observations data, has been changed as per the information in the related page Data


A new single model configuration (AUSWAVE-G3) has replaced the legacy global (AUSWAVE-G) and regional (AUSWAVE-R) systems since   This upgrade includes incorporating the latest version of Wavewatch III® (WW3) - version 6.0.7.  Newly the runs at 6 and 18 UTC are provided too but with shorter forecast length (up to +156 hours). The METNO model has been upgraded to WAM code Cycle 4.7 since the 12Z run on   More information can be found in  Model upgrades#METNO


The NCEP model has been upgraded to a new version with the resolution changed to 0.25 degrees and the lead time length increased to +384 hours as per Model upgrades#NCEP

2020

Apart from 0Z runs NIWA has started contributing 12Z model outputs too since the 24th September 2020 onwards.

The production archiving of LOPS model outputs has started from the 11th March 2020 onwards.

The MARS was updated for LC-WFV data archiving. The first dataset being routinely archived is METEOAM ( from the run on the 7th February 2018 onwards).
