Access to CDS selected ECV datasets restored

UPDATE on 11-JAN-2024: Access to all ECV datasets has now been restored.

UPDATE on 10-JAN-2024: The following datasets are now available to download again:

• Earth's radiation budget from 1979 to present derived from satellite observations 
• Surface albedo 10-daily gridded data from 1981 to present

A technical issue is affecting access to the following datasets in the Climate Data Store (CDS):

• Soil moisture gridded data from 1978 to present

• Surface albedo 10-daily gridded data from 1981 to present

• Earth's radiation budget from 1979 to present derived from satellite observations

• Greenland ice sheet annual gridded velocity data from 2017 to present derived from satellite observations

• Gravimetric mass balance data for the Antarctic and Greenland ice sheets from 2003 to 2022 derived from satellite observations

• Lake water levels from 1992 to present derived from satellite observations

• Lake surface water temperature from 1995 to present derived from satellite observations

The data providers and the CDS team are actively working at resolving the issue as soon as possible. We cannot however give a time estimate as to when access to the affected datasets will be fully restored. We therefore encourage users to "Watch" this page to receive email notifications of updates on this announcement.
