Latitude-longitude resolutions for atmospheric products provided in dissemination

HRES

  • HRES products will be available at the base grid resolution of 0.1° and multiples thereof.
  • For backwards compatibility, HRES fields will also be available at the compatibility grid resolution of 0.125°.
  • All product grids that can be generated from the base grid (0.1°)  will be generated from that grid.
  • Those grids that cannot be generated from the base grid will be generated with the compatibility grid (0.125°).
  • For example, grids of 0.5° and 1.0° will be generated from the base grid;  grids of 0.25° and 0.75° will be generated from the compatibility grid.

ENS

  • ENS products will be available at the base grid resolution of 0.2°and multiples thereof.
  • For backwards compatibility, ENS products from will also be available at the compatibility grid resolution of 0.25° and multiples thereof.
  • All product grids that can be generated from the base grid (0.2°) will be generated from that grid.
  • Those grids that cannot be generated with the base grid will be generated with the compatibility grid (0.25°).

ENS Extended

  • ENS Extended products will be available at the base grid resolution of 0.4°and multiples thereof.
  • For backwards compatibility, ENS Extended products from will also be available at the compatibility grid resolution of 0.5° and multiples thereof.
  • All product grids that can be generated from the base grid (0.4°) will be generated from that grid.
  • Those grids that cannot be generated with the base grid will be generated with the compatibility grid (0.5°).
