The way users retrieve data has a huge impact on both the time required to get the data and the performance of the system. You should follow these steps if you want to retrieve large amount This is extremely useful if you wish to download big amounts of data.
Efficiency tips:
- Smaller Nr number of tapes (a request accesses) means better request efficiency.
- Requests for data which is online in general go faster
- Ideally requests should not access more than 1 tape.
